An Interview with the Founder and President of VFP

An Interview with the Founder and President of VFP:

Here is a brief Introduction of Mr Usman Raza. He is the Founder and Director of Volunteer Force Pakistan (VFP).

When did you start VFP?

Volunteer Force Pakistan was initiated by me on 26 January 2019.

Explain What VFP is?

Volunteer Force Pakistan is a network of dedicated, diversified and motivated youth with the slogan, Common people doing uncommon things. We are working on six dimensions

  1. 5th Generation Warfare
  2. Constructive Use of Social Media
  3. True Women Empowerment
  4. Rural Youth Development
  5. Sustainable Tourism
  6. The welfare of the people

What compelled you to start VFP?

Since my childhood, I used to read the stories of great heroes globally, especially the heroes who contributed to the spread of Islam. They were the most incredible volunteers, and they dedicated their lives to the betterment of humankind. Quaid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah volunteered himself to get this land named Pakistan so that future generations can live life with freedom. It all compelled me to make Volunteer Force Pakistan.

What are your goals with VFP?

Our goal is to unite 10 million Volunteers with us by 2023 who will be Volunteers of Pakistan.

What are your projects, and how they are going? Any new project coming?

We are working on different projects; the most prominent are,

Social Media Conclaves:

It is a series of Conferences to help youth know about the potential of social media, digital entrepreneurship, and freelancing. We conducted three conferences in Punjab and Islamabad which were attended by thousands of youth.

Moreover, Social Media Training, Teachers Training programs, and Peace Conferences are also among our projects. Our upcoming events are Majestic Pakistan Summits in collaboration with Pakistan First Movement, which will be held in Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan to highlight the tourism potential in these provinces and to help youth get into the business of tourism.

Does the government approve your organisation? And what is their take on it?

We are closely working with the government as Imran Khan’s primary focus has been youth. We have collaborated with different government institutions like the Ministry of Anti Narcotics Control and the Presidency of Azad Jammu and Kashmir in various projects. Governor Punjab Ch M Sarwar also appreciates us for our work.

During the Pandemic, how VFP did quality work to help people?

We distributed ration, we donated medicines, and we also help in arranging blood camps.

Any message you want to send out to this world?

Every youngster should be a devoted volunteer and contribute to society building. As Iqbal says,

افراد کے ہاتھوں میں ہے اقوام کی تقدیر
ہر فرد ہے ملت کے مقدر کا ستارہ

It is not only the responsibility of the government to build the nation. It is the responsibility of every citizen to play their part.
