In Conversation with The Creator of Zara and Mama:
Whenever the word “mother” pops up in our heads, it fills our minds and heart with love and compassion. A mother is an amalgamation of a disciplinarian, a protector and a mentor. She is the one who teaches a child essential life skills and nurtures the young mind with her selfless efforts. On “special day for moms” celebrated on 9th May worldwide, Hubdaily interviewed numerous moms who are “supermoms”.
Mothers like these are mothering their little ones to make them better human beings and citizens of a society. Rabia Tanveer is one of those moms who are icons of motherhood. Hubdaily team got the opportunity to interview her. You can see the video at the end of this article. She’s the creative mind behind the blog Zara and Mama. You can visit here:
Moving forward, let’s begin with the questions and answers asked by the Hubdaily team.
First of all, tell us something about yourself and then Zara and mama’s journey and how it gets initiated?
In reply to this, Rabia told us that she is a Fine Arts graduate and right now a stay-at-home mom to a five-year-old Zara. She is a Singapore based Mom blogger who used to share different activities done with her daughter. For example, recycling and re-purposing the things that people usually discard in bins. She says that she always had that “creative bone” that drove her to such engaging activities.
However, her family and friends motivated her to share her innovative ideas with everyone. As the journey of zara_and_mama moved forward, she got tremendous responses from all around the world like Germany, UK and the US. This response boosted her confidence and provided her exposure to people from different parts of the world.
Your videos are pretty educative and well-constructed. It takes a reasonable amount of time and effort. So, being a mom blogger, what are the pros and cons of it? And what would you suggest to other moms who want to become one?
In response to this, she said that if you have got the faith and belief in yourself and you are well aware of your niche, you shouldn’t doubt that you should start your blog. For creating something, you only need a pencil and a piece of paper, and with that, you can create a masterpiece, but definitely, you should have an “urge to create”. There are many pros like you grow as a person along with the blog, you learn new skills like she learnt editing from YouTube and definitely how to update your ways of blogging.
Moreover, it keeps you focused and engaged. She added, “It is a constant cycle of learning, and I enjoy exploring many new things through this blog.” She advised the new mom bloggers that they should be open to criticism because that is how you learn and improve.
She says further about the cons of blogging that there are no cons as such, but yes, a lot of effort is made “behind the scenes”, especially when you have to engage the little ones too, as they have the minimal attention span. She has to prepare and everything before she brings Zara to the activity. Also, she manages to do editing and blogging in her “Me Time” as she has to take care of Zara’s school schedule and look after house chores.
Lastly, any message you want to give to all the mothers out there on this mother’s day?
In response to this, she said, “Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers. You are doing the best in your capacity. There is no such thing as ‘a perfect mom’. We all are still trying to figure out in this regard. You are amazing the way you are. Keep your heads up!”
