Pakistan, Palestine Reject Polls Excluding Jerusalem
Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi, Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council and Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Religious affairs, said on Tuesday that Martyrs of Palestine, who sacrificed their lives for the sake of islam and peace, are never to be forgotten and Muslim Ummah will not allow any poll in Palestine not including Jerusalem.
In a conference with Palestinian envoy Ahmed Jawad A A Rabei, Hafiz Mehmood condemned Israeli inhumanities over Palestine and said Leaders of all over the world and Muslim Ummah have to take immediate actions against Israeli brutalities. Moreover, he said, Pakistan always stands with Palestine.
Imran Khan’s assistant and Palestine envoy also issued a joint statement after the conference.
Ashrafi said that Saudi King Shah Salman bin Abdul Aziz, OIC and leaders of Islamic countries must take measures to stop Israel’s plan to block a poll in Jerusalem.
He further said, “Pakistan cannot accept a solution that is not acceptable to the Palestinian nation.”
