PSL 6 Matches to be held in Abu Dhabi:
PCB will hold the remaining matches of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6 in Abu Dhabi.
According to sources, the leftover matches are scheduled to be played in Abu Dhabi (UAE). The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sorted out all previous matters with the Emirates Cricket Board. Further, PCB is set to reschedule the matches. Expectedly, the season would be finished by June 20th.
PCB Came Up with A Better Plan:
Pakistan Cricket Board would still need authorisation from the UAE government. PCB sent a 7-member PCB delegation to the UAE before Eid. Both boards are optimistic that permission will be granted.
It is appropriate to mention here that only 14 matches of this season had been played, after which the tournament was halted. Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi currently lead the table with six points each. Islamabad United and Lahore Qalandars also had six points (each), having played only four matches.
Pakistan Super League (PSL) 6 was postponed after the third wave of Covid-19 hit Pakistan. PCB cancelled all the matches indefinitely. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) later declared that Pakistan would hold the remaining fixtures later on.
PSL 6 Final Preparations:
After PCB announced that the remaining fixtures of PSL 6 would occur in Abu Dhabi, the franchises have selected and finalised additional and alternate players for their respective teams.
PCB held the process of deciding the additional or selecting alternate players virtually.
The changes in the teams proposed that Quetta Gladiators selected Zahir Khan. Multan Sultans included Shimron Hetmyer, Johnson Claris, Wasim Muhammad, and Hamad Azam.
Moreover, Peshawar Zalmi selected Bismillah Khan, and Islamabad United picked Mohammad Akhlaq. Furthermore, Lahore Qalandars added Tim David and Sultan Ahmed.
As PSL 6 Matches to be held in Abu Dhabi, it is to be noted that the remaining fixtures of PSL 6 would begin in June in Abu Dhabi (tentatively). However, a final fixture schedule is so far is not announced.
